Defended my PhD with summa cum laude!

On Monday, June 24th, 2024, the time had finally come. After founding my own clothing label, moving around, investing every second and euro I had, thinking about work 7 days a week and 24 hours a day, living in Tokyo, meeting the most fabulous people I never could have imagined, 23 papers, 450 citations, crazy stress, and sooooo many other things I defended my PhD thesis with distinction and the highest academic grade given, summa cum laude. The whole day and time just feel unreal and clearly like maybe the best day I experienced so far. I will be forever grateful, and I want to say a big thank you to everyone who participated in this journey and especially all the wishes and everyone joining me during the day. Now onwards to new adventures! But hopefully, a bit more calmly ;-).
